  1. Drive got shafted. No best director nod for Refn no best actor for Gosling and no best supporting for Brooks is crazy.

  4. @3guys1movie I hear you. I'm still waiting for the DVD release of Drive so I can't comment but perhaps it's a blessing. Could some films just be too good for Oscars? Fight Club for example...

@Scott Look forward to hearing about your all-nighter

@Dan yeah bout time for our Gary!

  5. LOVE this post. Pete, you are hilarious! Totally with you on Transformers 3 - what the heck?! hahaha

Also, who is Demian Bichir? Still wondering here too.

Asking many of the same questions as you. Nice recap.

  6. Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close

    *face palm*

Demian Bichir came from A Better Life, a very humane film aboutMexican immigrants, Demian Bichir performance was very powerful, many are casting him aside without actually seeing the film which is made watchable by his performance (and his co-star).

  7. @Kristin Thanks! I know... ridiculous and where's Bay's nod for best director. The Academy should acknowledge their oversight for Pearl Harbour!

@Myerla haha is ELAIC that bad? I've got A Better Life on my Lovefilm list, glad to hear you rate it, will be interesting to see why this guy made the list!
