What should I watch next?

Dear Friends,

Which of the following of my Lovefilm Free to Stream list should I watch next?

Have I got my priorities right or is this the list of one mixed up individual?

Are there any films I need to see here before I watch anything else?

I defer to your good judgement friends!  Please leave your comments in the usual place!

  2. If you can stomach some tension and gore, Dogtooth and Audition are both terrific, fascinating, endlessly rewatchable movies and both deserve to be at the top of any queue.

And The Seven Samurai, natch, is the best movie on that list, so it should probably be #1.

    1. It's ridiculous how long it's taking me to get round to watching The Seven Samurai! I'll get there eventually... it's just the three hour run time that keeps deterring me.

Definitely looking forward to Dogtooth. Not sure if I've heard too much about Audition and might have runined it for myself! Thanks for the advice!

  3. Oy, I don't think any of those films will be in my queue, Pete, ahah. Oh wait, I did see The Way Back and quite like that one. Here's my review: http://flixchatter.net/2011/05/30/weekend-roundup-and-the-way-back-review/

  4. Seven Samurai and Festen are must. If you are in mood of full-on bloodbath, give I saw a Devil a try. Audition is nice too. Angels and demons can wait. Haven't seen anything else yet.

Let us know how this goes BTW. :)

    1. Audition is nice??? That's not what I've heard! After recently watching The Idiots, I'm quite keen to try Festen but I really think I should go for Seven Samurai first! Thanks dude!

  5. I would say Dogtooth, Pete. That movie is the perfect kind of ass kicker in that the surprises are visceral and unexpected. Happy watching!

  6. To be fair there isn't a lot on that list I would watch.

I know that Dogtooth and I saw the Devil are excellent but I am not good with disturbing things... I would have a bit of Westworld though!! LOve that film!

(I guess I have missed the boat here no?)

    1. No never too late Scott, I'm hoping on getting through a few of these over the next couple of weeks so cool to have a shout out for Westworld.

  8. Thanks Castor, it sounds truly messed up and therefore probably right up my street.
