RIP Paul Walker

Absolutely gutted to hear the news of Paul Walker's passing this morning. Apparently the Fast and Furious star died on Saturday in a fiery car accident on the way back from a charity event in California. He was the passenger in the car and he leaves behind a daughter. I have written a very quick tribute over at Yahoo:

Rest in peace Paul Walker: A Fast and Furious fan responds

Today is not the day for wondering what this means for the currently in production 'Fast and Furious 7' but the impact is obviously going to be huge. How the team are going to carry on after such a terrible tragedy is anyone's guess. I'm sure there will be news on this soon but for at least today, I wanted to focus on the tragedy of Walker's death and not the effect it will have on the future of the franchise.

It was only a couple of days ago that I was writing the below stories on Paul Walker for Yahoo and it seems very strange to now be discussing his death. I always find it strange when we mourn over the death of stars we do not even know but I guess we love the characters they have brought us and we often feel as though they are a big part of our lives if we love the films they have been in.

Anyway if you want to hear more about Paul Walker and how he was feeling about the future (and the present) of the Fast and Furious franchise, then here are a couple of recent news stories I had written for Yahoo.

Paul Walker on Fast and Furious 7 preparation, pressure and problems

Paul Walker has been busy doing the rounds publicising his recent film 'Hours' and has let slip some concerns and causes for excitement with the upcoming 'Fast and Furious 7'.

Paul Walker talks new director James Wan's vision for Fast and Furious 7

Speaking to MTV, 'Fast and Furious 7' star Paul Walker has revealed that he is 'definitely optimistic' about the direction that new director James Wan is taking the franchise.

RIP Paul Walker. Thoughts with your family and friends. Fast and Furious won't be the same without you.
