Today I bring you just a link to a guest post I have done over at the amazing site Filmoria. They have a series called Film Song of the Day which is fairly self-explanatory and if you're a regular reader, you might be able to guess what I contributed. It just had to be my favourite moment of music in film ever which quite tidily comes from my number one film of all time.Yes it's The Pixies from the closing scene of David Fincher's Fight Club. FIGHT CLUB is the best movie ever made, period.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of those films that once you've seen it in the cinema, you feel like a differnt person coming out of the theatre - as in one feels changed, different and forever altered in brilliant ways for having seen it.
Had no idea you were a teacher.
Couldn't have put it better myself! And yes for some reason I am a teacher. But hopefully not forever!

DeleteVery nice. I've only seen Fight Club once, so getting to rewatch that ending was pretty cool.

It's Tuesday and I haven't been observed yet so here's hoping they stay out of my classrooms!

DeleteOh yes! Great moment...it was the song and the timing of it that made me think Fight Club wasn't just a very good film...it was bloody brilliant! :)

DeleteJust seemed to sum up the whole film when I saw it. Also I am a big Pixes fan so I think that might have helped. Heading over to Filmoria to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI am NOW a big Pixies fan but the first time I heard the song was when I saw this film. I immediately went home and HAD to find out what it was. Never have I fallen so in love with a song so quickly.
