More Fast and Furious 7 and 8 News

There is loads going on in the world of the Fast and Furious franchise at the moment with casting announcements continuing aplenty, rumours abounding, details of possible story details for the eighth film in the series and even set photos and videos leaking online. Production has officially started on Fast and Furious 7 with James Wan taking over the steering wheel from Justin Lin and cars and stars already snapped at the Pikes Peak Colorado location.

There seem to be doubts over how big a role Kurt Russell will have in the next two films and doubts over whether Bollywood star Deepika Padukone will find a way to make her schedule fit with Fast and Furious 7. I'm reporting on every detail for Yahoo Movies so please feel free to keep checking my Yahoo profile for more updates on the Fast and Furious franchise. You can also check out more Fast and Furious stories at the dedicated Yahoo Movies Fast and Furious page.

Here are the most recent stories I have covered in the past fortnight. Please click the headlines to read the full stories:

More Film News at Filmoria

News stories are fun, quick and a real test of your ability to come up with something fresh to say about a poster, trailer or a new still from a film when you know that other sites have already had a pop at the story.

Film news changes and updates rapidly. In the age of Twitter, any news story can break and be all around the web in seconds. It seems ‘news’ can also be a good way to keep in the good books of PR companies who have the power to giveth and taketh away access to preview screenings. If you help promote their films in the run up to release, I guess you might be more likely to get access to the stars and the screenings.

I started a post ages ago for keeping track of my news stories but I think it’s time for a new one so please find below continuously updated links to any news stories I have published over at Filmoria with the newest link always at the top:

Film News Stories

In the same way that I'd like to keep an online record of all my interviews that I am conducting for Filmoria, I would also like to keep tabs on the news stories I contribute so I'm going to start now by creating a list and adding to it as time goes on.

News stories are fun, quick and a real test of your ability to come up with something fresh to say about a poster, trailer or a new still from a film when you know that other sites have already had a pop at the story.

Writing for Filmoria has taught me to use sources and to always credit the source.  This is good practice and helps people to head back to the sites that break the stories first.  Sometimes it seems silly to contribute a news piece on something you know has already been covered by other sites but as I love writing about film, this is rarely the case.  I've usually got something new to add when I cover the story... I say new rather than interesting but you be the judge!

Here are my news articles for Filmoria:

Hathaway to Rage Against the Machines in Spielberg’s ‘Robopocalypse’?

Exciting news brewing with casting rumours of Anne Hathaway and Chris Hemsworth sniffing around Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson’s 2011 book Robopocalypse.

The Hollywood Reporter states that not only are Hathaway and Hemsworth negotiating to take leading roles, but also the film is set to be produced by Tom Rothman, the outgoing chairman of Fox Filmed Entertainment. Rothman has been confirmed by DreamWorks in a statement yesterday and casting confirmations should follow soon.
